Our Project Timeline:
Fungicide Information:
The start of our project was a look at the fungicides used at the vineyard. We looked up information on whether the fungicides were primarily metallic or chemical, whether they degraded fast or slow, and in what conditions was degradation favorable. We also quantified how much of particular fungicides were used and how much fungicide was in the rinsate we are treating.

The end product will be a best management process.

Beginning research is to understand how each method will work to reduce fungicides in the water, and to understand how reasonable it would be to implement each, and how well each option will function.
Determining the Best Solution:
After some research in our technology review we narrowed the design to four options to the most reasonable to design and implement. The decision matrix above shows the how we ranked each of those options. The Vegetated Swale design was ranked the highest.
Cost Analysis:
An overview of the economic analysis. There are four main catergories of cost for building this design as noted above. The labor and machinery costs are the highest point on our chart. However, our client is capable of doing some of the work himself, saving around $4,800 if that path is chosen. Look at it more in the file below.
