We have decided to design for a vegetated swale system, in which the water/fungicide mixture will have a controlled underground flow rate to get a retention time of 30 days in the soil. It also includes a water tank holding system to allow aquatic breakdown of Mancozeb before entering the soil. Mancozeb breaks down into ETU which is stable in water, but degrades well in soil. Other fungicides are also capable of being degraded in this design. Look at it more in our poster above or our report and presentation below.
